All even numbers greater than 2 are the sum of two primes.

This statement hasn't been proven or unproven, but it appears to be true, at least up to the number 4,000,000,000,000,000,000. I never knew about it until today while reading an article that mentioned it as an example. It has a name: Goldbach's conjecture.
